The core feature is an AI Terminal that accepts natural language input. Users describe a server problem or task in plain English and the terminal generates the exact Linux command needed. Before anything executes, CtrlOps displays the command, explains what it will do, and requires explicit approval. The AI also queries live web sources to retrieve current documentation and security advisories, ensuring recommendations reflect up-to-date information rather than static training data.

CtrlOps also includes a built-in Security Audit feature that runs 25 predefined audits across Server, Database, Web Server, and Docker environments. It checks connected Linux servers through the existing SSH session, with no agent installation and no changes made to the server. Users can select which checks to run, receive a hardening score out of 100, view findings by severity, and download detailed reports as PDFs. When an issue is found, selected findings can be sent to the AI Terminal, which generates a recommended fix and waits for explicit approval before anything runs. The same audit can also be run across multiple servers to compare security posture consistently.

Additional features include a multi-server dashboard for managing all connected servers from one screen, one-click deployments from GitHub repositories, a visual file manager for browsing and transferring files on remote servers, real-time monitoring of CPU usage, memory, and disk space, SSH key management with all credentials stored locally, backup status visibility, a scripts library for saving and reusing common commands, and user access control for managing team permissions.

Everything runs 100% locally. No credentials, SSH keys, or infrastructure details are ever transmitted to external servers. There are no agents to install on remote machines. CtrlOps communicates directly with servers over standard SSH protocol.
