Effective July 2026
Account data from Google sign-in (name, email, avatar). Content you create (listings, comments, votes). Newsletter email addresses. Standard technical logs (IP, user agent) used for security, rate-limiting and our crawler analytics. Payment details are handled entirely by our payment provider — we never see card numbers.
We log visits by identified AI crawlers (e.g. GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot) to our own pages, verified against the providers' published IP ranges where available. We also run sampled prompts against AI engine APIs and store the responses. This data describes activity on our site and public AI answers — it does not track individual people.
To operate the directory (listings, boards, receipts), send transactional email and the newsletter you opted into, prevent abuse, and improve the product. We use privacy-respecting product analytics. We never sell personal data.
Published listings, votes counts, comments (with your name), and maker profiles are public and intentionally machine-readable — indexed by search engines and AI crawlers, exposed via our API, MCP server and llms.txt. Don't put anything in a listing or comment you don't want public.
Google (sign-in), our database and hosting providers, payment processing, transactional email, and AI APIs used for listing drafting and citation sampling (your listing content is sent to them to provide those features). Each processes data under their own terms.
Access, correct or delete your data anytime: manage listings from your dashboard, unsubscribe links in every newsletter, or email us for full account deletion. We keep webhook and security logs for up to 12 months.
